Groups St. Paul’s supports:

Community Ministry of Calvert County  provides emergency assistance to folks in need to help with rent, heating, electricity, water etc.
TRUST group of churches and nonprofits, includes St. Paul’s, All Saints’ Church, Sunderland; Bethel Way of the Cross Church; Calvert County Baptist Church; Carroll-Western, United Methodist Church;Circle of Angels mentoring project; Greater Mount Zion; Mt. Olive, UMC; NAACP of Calvert County;Patuxent Friends (Quaker) Meeting; Patuxent, UMC; and Trinity, UMC.

TRUST is fostering community among congregations of different denominations and seeks to break down the barriers that divide us — race, class, gender, orientation among others — by creating dialogue and seeking change in areas where barriers to community exist in Calvert County. TRUST projects include the Closing the Gap coalition, comprised of groups and individuals seeking to close achievement gaps in county public schools, a racism workshop program modeled on the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland’s Seeing the Face of God in Everyone program and participation of member churches in food distribution events for needy families in Calvert County.

Farming 4 Hunger a nonprofit based at Serenity Farm in Benedict, Maryland, distributes fresh produce to hungry families through churches and other service groups in Southern Maryland. St. Paul’s hosts Farming 4 Hunger food distributions.

WMJS 102.1 plays the greatest hits of yesterday and today. You’ll hear pop, soft rock, and classic hits from the late 70s through today, with a little modern country thrown in for variety.
